10 Apr Three HPE Villas in Harmony with Nature
Set on a site with pronounced topography and lush vegetation, these three high energy performance (HPE) villas take full advantage of the landscape to propose an architecture that is both contextual and integrated.
The project is structured around two main axes: the site’s natural slope and the pine forest bordering a local road. While two villas are positioned along this secondary axis with direct access, the third is set further back, enhancing its privacy within the terrain.
A system of mineral cores, inspired by vernacular structures, sets the rhythm of the project. These vertical lime-rendered elements anchor the villas in their surroundings and free up the living spaces, which open generously to the outside. A wooden frame structures the interiors, playing with natural light and organizing the spaces.
The corten steel envelope—both protective and evolving—engages in dialogue with the surrounding vegetation, further reinforcing the project’s integration into the landscape. Between fluid circulation and the interpenetration of built form and nature, these villas offer an immersive experience where architecture and environment become one.
